Glazing or re-glazing a bathroom tub or shower?

With regards to our tubs & showers:

one unit owner had his showers done and said he was very satisfied with his re-glazing and was very satisfied with the work. On this referral, three other units had their showers re-glazed and were also satisfied. This work was done by:

one unit owner had them done and said ~ "three years ago and they are holding up nicely. They were ~ $400each and included complete re-glazing and installation of new fixtures. We were well satisfied with their service".

The job was done by:

There was another unit that glazed their showers by themselves. There were some pro's and con's attached to their job. They may have saved some $$$ but maybe not enough to make it worth their while.

Either way, the unit cannot be used for at least 24 hours after the completion. Be prepared, there will be a strong resin smell permiating the area.

More information to follow:
Pro's is that they were able to . . .

Con's is that they were unable to use their shower for 3 days.

DIY - for those that want to do it themselves, here's what one owner did. they purchased a product by Homax at ace hardware. here's the information found on line at amazon.com - http://www.amazon.com/Homax-720773-Brush--One-Part-26-Ounce/dp/B000U9K85S/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1316204813&sr=8-9

According to Amazon, this product did not get good reviews (only 2stars) but this person who did the work at our property swears by it and gave it a full 5stars review.
